Come join the 44th Annual Watonga Cheese Festival!! The theme this year is Lucky to Be Back; Celebrating Lucky Star Casino, Hotel, and Convention Center. Thursday, 10/7: We will have our opening ceremony at 6 pm followed by fun for the whole family! Friday, 10/8: Vendors will open at 11am! Come walk through the armory, the Oasis church, check out the cheese tasting line and food contest located in the First Baptist Church, listen to music, play in the worlds largest bubble machine, take a ride on the free “train” on wheels that will take you from one end of Main Street to the other, play on the Zip line, and other inflatables, let the kiddos ride the pony ride, check out our beer and wine tents (21 and up), jelly roll contest located at the old dollar general building, check out the TB Ferguson home museum and the old Ferguson chapel, and who could forget about the food?!?! We will have a food court set up for your convenience with multiple yummy food trucks! Saturday, 10/9: Vendors open up at 9am! Catch the parade at NOON which will go down Noble street, do all the fun stuff mentioned above. This is a 2-day event packed full with craft vendors, Watonga cheese and wine/beer tents, The Great Rat Race, live entertainment, vendors, art, barn quilt display, state fair food, bbq, and more concessions, kids zone amusement with games and activities, museum tours, quilt show with a jelly roll contest, gun fighters show, Cheese Festival float contest & parade! Did we mention the food……Yummmmm!!
