Singleton was born in Alva and raised in Drummond. At age 17, he joined Oklahoma National Guard. He spent 21 years in the service, retiring at the rank of captain.
“The U.S. Army was my path to education and leadership training,” he said. “I came to love serving our country and I stayed 21 years in the Army National Guard and Reserve.”
He attended college on the GI Bill, receiving his law degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law.
For the past 24 years, Singleton has practiced family, bankruptcy and criminal law in Enid.
“For the last 20 years, I’ve done six to 12 pro bono cases (per year) for domestic violence survivors.
